Choco Chip Cookies

I love this recipe because it only takes 20 minutes to be done (counting every step of the process). That's the same as a youtube video! So I use it to breake the media consuming cycle.

I based the recipe from [this recipe from Kate Dean]{https://www.ihearteating.com/easiest-chocolate-chip-cookie-recipe/}. I'll save you the SEO script and skip straight to the recipe. I made some small adjustments in portions because I like them this way better.

Ingredients

Kitchen Tools

Recipe

  1. Remove the tray from the oven (if you store it there) and set it to 180°C and pre-heat it for 10 minutes.
  2. Put the butter in the cup and leave it in the microwave for 1 minute. The idea is to melt it, but we don't want it to be hot.
  3. While the butter is in the microwave, add the sugar to the bowl.
  4. Add the butter to the bowl and mix with the wooden spoon.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and egg and mix until incorporated.
  6. Add the flour, salt and baking soda and mix until incorporated.
  7. After the flour is mostly incorporated you can use your hand to mix it the rest of the way.
  8. Add the Chocky chips! (yay) and mix them with the dough.
    • Not every chocolate chip will stick to the dough and thats fine (I have a 70% stick rate). We'll add the loose chips later.
  9. Separate the dough into balls (I do around 8, but choose the cookie size you like the best) and put them on the oven tray.
  10. The oven should be pre-heated by now, put the tray inside the oven and let them bake for 10 minutes.
    • You can leave them a little more if you want them lightly toasted
  11. Remove from the oven and you're done!
    • I like to leave them cool for an hour so they get crunchy (yum!)
    • But yeah, you're done now, you can do other things and you obtained cookies!!!

Additional tips!

If you add more flower the cookies will be more crumbly, if you are into crumbly cookies. Also if you flatten the dough balls on the tray a little they cookies will come out flatter. Perfect for flat fuck friday.
